This year the San Nicolò Fair will begin one day earlier than the previous editions, namely Saturday 30 November and will end on Sunday 8 December from 9.00 to 21.00.

The arrival of exhibitors in the city, the verification of commercial titles and accreditation of operators, as well as the assignment of sales structures to concessionaires and their preparation by the participants, are planned for Friday 29 November. In order to guarantee homogeneity of the structures and adequate levels of safety, as well as correct use of the redeveloped area, This year too, the municipal administration has contracted out the set-up service, providing the concessionaires with the structures used for the exercise of the planned commercial activities (tensile structures with platforms).

“This is a very classic edition and it is an important moment for the city because it opens the Christmas holiday period with the consequent economic activity. The Fiera di San Nicolò is certainly loved by children and not so big children“, he began the deputy mayor, Serena Tonel.

“The fair will take place in the pedestrian area of ​​Viale XX Settembre, from Largo Bonifacio, without the branch in Via Muratti, up to the intersection with Domenico Rossetti – continued the Deputy mayor -. The inauguration will take place on Saturday 30th November at 17.00pm with the presence of the Ongia band and San Nicolò who will be present again on the occasion of the Feast of San Nicolò on 6th December at 16.00pm“.

“There are 85 parking spaces (of which 82 for the sale of food and non-food products, and 3 for catering with an adjacent area intended for furnishings for consumption on site). We will know the final vision on the day of the inauguration of the Fair since access is with an open ranking and confirmation of presence until the day of the start. From this year it is possible to register online. In addition, the Municipal Administration has provided for the reimbursement of expenses incurred by citizens residing in the areas adjacent to the fair area for parking one vehicle per family unit, up to a maximum amount of Euro 80,00 per family unit, for no more than 25 beneficiaries in the face of parking and stopping bans established with a Temporary Ordinance in the Line of Traffic in the streets adjacent to Viale XX Settembre. Entertainment service for children will be guaranteed every day from 10.30 to 12.30 and from 15 to 19. The entertainment service includes the presence of Saint Nicholas, grey-haired and with a white beard, dressed in traditional clothing. (white coat, red chasuble and cope, pectoral cross, mitre and pastoral staff), a multi-purpose entertainer, able to manage various recreational and entertainment activities (writing letters to the Saint on site, drawing workshops to display on the windows, distribution of sweets, small gadgets and colored balloons, etc.), a face painter, present together with the entertainer in the “Casetta di San Nicolò”, on the final days of December 7 and 8.

In fact, a modular prefabricated structure for exhibition purposes will be positioned in Largo Bonifacio, intended to host collateral entertainment activities (Casetta di San Nicolò) containing:

n. 1 “bishop’s” chair where Saint Nicholas can sit to welcome the children and have his photograph taken;

n. 1 Christmas tree decorated with CE-compliant lights and decorations;

n 2 child-height tables;

n. 8 child seats;

stationery accessories for children’s workshops (A4 160g/mXNUMX white sheets, colored markers, pens, envelopes, scotch tape, etc.) compliant with CE standards.

In the Fair area, in addition to the support/collaboration of the Local Police, the safety & security service will be guaranteed through the presence of an adequate number of personnel trained in both fire prevention and first aid as well as in managing the public in the event of an emergency.

In order to ensure the cleanliness and decorum of the public area affected by the Fair, the Municipal Administration has requested AcegasApsAmga, in addition to carrying out daily cleaning of the event area and final cleaning, the supply and positioning of 75 waste bins, equal to 15 complete ecological islands and related frequent emptying.
